Dave came to Stebbing Recording Centre in 2005, having built a formidable reputation as an award winning engineer with a passion for modern rock and pop. His recording career was cemented at Media Music Productions, where he started in 1996 after graduating from SAE with a Diploma of Audio Engineering and completing a short stint at Mandrill Audio Post. During his Media Music tenure, Dave was involved with the recording and mixing of projects for many prolific New Zealand artists, including Pluto, Crumb, Darcy Clay, Tadpole, Eye TV, Voom, Dub Asylum, Indicator Dogs, Sam Hunt, Paul Ubana Jones and Michael Murphy, for whom he mixed the gold-selling album No Place to Land. Dave’s ultimate claim to fame however is his work on Blindspott’s triple-platinum self-titled debut album, which earned him a Tui at the 2002 New Zealand Music Awards for Engineer of the Year.

Along with working the desk in our main Studio One, Dave has branched into DVD authoring, completing projects for Pulp Sport, The Jaquie Brown Diaries, Sione’s Wedding, Shihad and the Bleeders amongst others.
