DVD Copy Protection:

We offer Content Scramble System (CSS) as a digital copy protection system for DVD-Video discs. CSS prevents a DVD copy being burnt and the DVD's video files from being copied to a hard drive. The DVD author is responsible for setting the CSS flags within the DVD including indicating which VTS's (Video Title Sets) are to be encrypted. We'll then obtain the unique keys and encrypt the content.

CDS-100 technology offers maximum security by restricting PC playability while allowing full playability on standard audio players. With CDS-100, rights owners can protect their content from unauthorized duplication, copying to PCs and/or CD-Rs, and file sharing on the internet.

CDS-100 is the ideal solution for pre-release music that is distributed to journalists and taste-makers prior to an album’s commercial release.

Requires a CDS Processor at the mastering house and/or replicator. This is a stand-alone processor that is maintained by Macrovision and is easily upgradeable so that the technology is always up to date.
CDS-200 technology provides full playability of CDs on both standard audio players and computers, enabling music rights owners to protect their content from unauthorized duplication, copying to computers and/or CD-Rs, and file sharing on the Internet.

The CDS-200 data session contains protected and compressed music files for computer playback. These files can only be played from the original disc through a dedicated secure player and cannot be ripped (copied) to the computer's hard drive.

CDS-200 is the leading CD copy protection technology on the market today, having been used for more than 150 million commercial CDs worldwide.

The CDS player is a small audio player that is included on every copy-protected CD. When a customer inserts a CDS-300 CD into a drive on a PC or Macintosh, the CDS Player opens automatically to play the The CDS-300 player has a familiar, intuitive layout that features the album artwork and visually recreates the physical CD on the PC desktop.With just one click, consumers can copy the music into their Windows Media® Library securely - and it's even faster than ripping. From there, consumers can make playlists, export securely to portable devices and even burn CDs - all based on rights specified by the record label.

In addition, consumers can access web links and bonus material. Whether it's exclusive content on the disc or premium content online, CDS-300 makes it all possible - in a protected environment.

How it works:

CDS-300 CDs feature technology that protects the first session audio against ripping. Then, pre-ripped second session Windows Media DRM files enable you, the label, to determine the CD usage rights of your consumers.In addition, CDS-300 includes patented SafeDisc® technology, which verifies that a consumer has an original CD, which can be used to locally unlock bonus content provided by the label and artists.

Combined, these CDS-300 features can radically reduce CD content piracy while promoting playability and flexibility of use.
